Now in the soc design,the efficiency of maintaining the clock signal is generally low,because the number of clocks is huge,and there are too many data types,and this work involves a number of relatively independent departments such as system architecture department,clock generation unit department,logic physics synthesis department and design for test department.Therefore,a tool is developed that can link these departments together,and it is highly automated to meet the needs of all the relevant departments,and the efficiency of IC engineers is ultimately significantly improved.Based on the familiarity of clock signal generation mechanism and information maintenance process,we aim at the problem of decentralized maintenance of SOC clock information,and use the python scripting language object-oriented programming method to design a tool which features a high degree of integration,reliability,and compatibility,so that we can maintain the clock information uniformly.The system is divided into the database module and the GUI graphical interface module.Among them,the database module is used the recursive algorithm to realize the access clock tree structure,and uses the object-oriented method to package the clock data and processing methods;GUI graphical interface module is used hierarchical iterative open source graphics library method,binding the corresponding graphics component and methods in the database module,to display clock tree structure,query clock information and so on,this module is the primary interface between the system and the user.Finally,the clock signal assistant manager was systematically tested,the results of test show that the clock relationship can be displayed well,system query function is very powerful,the correctness and normality of the clock data can be checked intelligently,clock data can be merged,the trace of the input file can be tracked,etc.It meets the various departments of the different needs of the clock information,so that it can be unified maintenance of clock information.This tool meets the practical requirements and meets the design specifications.
