With the rapid development of science and technology,both social production and our daily life is hard to leave without the power industry,at the same time,the safety and reliability of power system is the necessary premise of both social producing and living conditions.Power system consist both electricity production and distribution.The excitation control system plays an important role of the power generation system and it can't be replaced in the whole safe and stable operation process of power system.In this topic,make research and design on hydro-generator self-shunt excitation control system in order to achieve the goals of improving excitation control system and enhancing the stability of power system.In this topic,basing on a renovation project of a hydro-power station excitation system,described the function of the excitation control system and its critical part,and determined the control objects and target.Through collected literature at home and abroad as well as to surveyed and analyzed the old devices of excitation control system.And based on the standards of the power industry and the site environment and the requirements of control technology.Chosen digital self-shunt excitation regulator which is suitable for the excitation control system and put forward an AVR+PID+PSS2A control model which is suitable for Small and Medium-sized hydro-generator excitation control system.Complete the researching,designing and testing for hydro-generator self-shunt excitation control system experiment.First,used both theoretical model and control logic analyzed the excitation voltage control and field current control also analyzed the power system stabilizer and V/Hz limitation.Secondly,selected the EXC9000 as excitation regulator and Weiluntong touch screen as upper-computer,combine analysis of the excitation transformer,rectifier unit,the de-excitation system and overvoltage protection,design a excitation control system which is both satisfied the technical requirements of hydro electric power station and economical also select the equipment and design the circuit.Thirdly,completed the design of software of excitation control system by analyzing the process of excitation system control,and used the software EB8000 completed the interface design.Finally,used EXC9000 software debug the excitation control system,set up the parameter calibration and analyzed the experimental results.This topic combined the actual project,design an excitation control systemwhich is suitable for small and medium-sized hydro-generator self-shunt excitation control system.At present,the excitation system works well.The results proved that excitation system has many benefits.The average coefficient of current is high and the cooling performance of rectifier unit is good also the performance of overvoltage protection is good.And which is economical.The excitation system also reduced the labor intensity of workers and enhanced the competitiveness of the enterprise.The excitation control system has practical application value and worth to study.
