The procession of continuous production is the characteristic of the petrochemical industry,which belongs to process industries.It means all production links are related to each other.Petrochemical production processes always come with various risk factors such as inflammability,explosion,high temperature,high pressure,deep refrigerating,toxicity,corrosion and so on.Furthermore by adjusting technological parameters it is workable to realize the control of the production process.Control messages should be timely,stable and reliable.With the automation level of technical processes upgraded and the safety protection system ever more complex,operating personnel are faced with higher requirements in operating skills and security awareness.So petrochemical enterprises pay increasing attention to safety training and make higher requirements.This paper does research into the safety training simulation technology of petrochemical enterprises and analyzes current common safety simulation training methods.Combined with the application prospect of virtual reality technology applied in the petrochemical industry,after investigating the construction situation of simulation practice laboratories in petrochemical enterprises and universities,this paper advances a new design project named Petrochemical Enterprises Safety Training Platform,which links physical simulation devices and process simulation with virtual reality technology.Petrochemical Enterprises Safety Training Platform contains two parts.One is the chemical process safety simulation laboratory.The other is the safety training software platform of petrochemical enterprises.Combined with "Chemical Process Safety Simulation Laboratory" project,this paper puts forward the construction scheme of the chemical process safety simulation laboratory.Furthermore through the site investigation and documents analysis the laboratory is divided into lots of physical emulation sections which are designed in detail.According to the construction of the chemical process safety simulation laboratory and related software of simulation training system,this paper designs functions and the general frame of the safety training software platform of petrochemical enterprises.Eventually the tentative application of Petrochemical Enterprises Safety Training Platform is expounded.In addition,the application instructions section focuses on expanding application and takes the design of leakage detection system as example.
