Research On Pulse Power For Micro Ecdm Based On Electrostatic Actuator

With the increasing demand of micro level products in various fields,manufacturing of these products has grabbed great attention.Micro ECDM is widely applied in micro machining since it’s irrespective of material hardness,strength and conductivity.The new method of micro ECDM based on electrostatic actuator is proposed to solve the problem of gap control.Planar metal sheet is used as electrode.The electrode is actuated towards workpiece by electrostatic force,which break through the limitation of traditional servo feed technology.And the new method improve the processing efficiency,processing quality and the stability of the process.The new method of micro ECDM based on electrostatic actuator was introduced after summarizing domestic and international research status and analyzing existing problems.The mechanism of electrostatically actuated micro feed and adaptive discharge of pulse power was analyzed.The characteristic and advantage of the method was summarized.Discharge circuit with deionization circuit was designed to reduce the negative impact of built-in capacitance.Jump edge circuit was designed for rapid identification of discharge state.Kalman adaptive filter was designed to reduce frequent movement of machining tool,which makes discharge state curve smoother after filtering.Schematic design,algorithm design and software and hardware debugging process was completed.On the basis of pulse power and discharge detecting circuit,Experimental research for electrostatic actuated micro ECDM was carried out.The influence of pulse power electrical parameters on machining efficiency and quality was analyzed through the experimental data to get optimal power parameters in actual processing.The influence of process noise variance and measurement noise variance in Kalman adaptive filtering algorithm was analyzed to get appropriate parameters.The influence of jump edge detection circuit reference voltage on the processing performance was researched through experiment.Based on large numbers of experiments,advantage of electrostatic actuated micro ECDM in practical use was summarized.Micro parts processing experiment was carried out on the basis of process law research.The practicability of the method and its advantages in micro machining were verified.
