Design And Implementation Of Construction Engineering Project Documentation Management System

Strengthening the information construction of large construction companies can change the way of construction industry,accelerate the pace of transformation and upgrading.At present,all the project documents of Foreign Construction Company of CSCEC are exchanged and saved in a traditional way,thus the information utilization is low.Documentation management based on Internet is less because of the weak awareness of documentation management.The project documentation materials can not be archived timely,so the project archives is mostly incomplete.Meantime,construction engineering documentation management environment is very complex,this would increase the difficulty of developing this construction engineering project documentation management systemThis paper designs and implements a construction engineering project documentation management system according to the needs of Kuwait Office of the Middle East Branch of CSCEC.The main functions of this system include the management of system,the management of file sending and receiving,notice management,logging and especially the management of project documents.We employ B/S model and the MVC design pattern,and select Apache as Http server,MySQL as DBMS,PHP Script as the programming language.The paper analyzes the system requirements and concludes seven main modules of the system.They are system management,file management,notice management,report management,log management and document management.It describes the overall design,detailed design and database design of the whole system.The system test results show that the system operates normally.It is evident that this system can improve the efficiency of construction project documentation management.
