Design And Implementation Of Health Monitoring And Emergency Rescue System For Home-based Care For The Aged

In China,with the increasingly serious problem of aging,the society gradually shows a trend that elderly population has the following characteristics,large base,fast growth,aging and empty nest.Therefore,caring for the aged and solving practical problems for the old people has become not only the pressing needs of the aged and children but also a widespread concerned social issue.However,because of the large population and economic underdevelopment,no matter family pension or pension institutions are faced with inadequate resources and other various predicaments.So,it has become an urgent problem of the government and social organizations,how to make use communication and information technique to support service to the aged,and to provide home-based care information service for the aged.The task of the thesis is to build up a complete set of service management and coordination mechanism for taking care of the aged at home,to set up accurate and detailed database and e-archives of caring service for the old people.Based on theaged's database,information service platform and intelligent terminal products,four services,including health monitoring,emergency rescue,daily help and initiative caring,will enrich means and items of service.This system adopts C/S architecture.The client is an application based on Android platform.The system greatly improves the user experience by the use of android messaging mechanism handler,multi-threading technology,and concise user interface.The system provides health data collection,health records inquiry,emergency calls,city location,weather and other features.Health data collection function allows the user real-time acquisition to their own health data and health records query function allows users to be able to look over previous health data,and emergency relief allows the user to cry for help to the service center in an emergency situation.City Location function and weather forecast function help users to make reasonable arrangements for their own lives.The server uses java web technology and it is responsible for responding to the clients' requests.Firstly,this thesis introduces the background and the necessity of the system development.Next,it describes the related technology involved in the system.Then,it discusses the system from three aspects:requirement analysis,system design and system implementation.Finally,it introduces system testing and summarizes the thesis.
