With the advances in Internet of Things, microelectronic technology, modernsensor technology, RF and wireless communication technology and microprocessingtechnology, medical monitoring system is developing towards the miniaturization、the wireless、the integration and the intelligent and starts to provide health servicesfor individuals anywhere and anytime, such as geriatrics and chronic care、homecare、sport health tracking and remote clinics. Wireless medical monitoring systemcan achieve timely treatment and pre-intervention of the disease and reduceunexpected morbidity and mortality, which is significant to reduce health care costsand improve the quality of national heath.The thesis is to design a locate-able health care system based on radiofrequency identification (RFID), which is used in wireless health care system toachieve the purpose of miniaturization、wireless、integretion and intelligence ofmedical equipments. It has become a hot research that RFID as the key technologyof Internet of Things and Wireless Sensor Network. In this paper, there are someinnovations and key technologies as follows:(1) The RFID location technologybased on RSSI, which uses the relationship between field strength value anddistance and nearest neighbor algorithm to achieve localization such as UHF RFIDtechnology. While the method of bi-directional RSSI is proposed, which gets signalby tags and readers, and the spatial diversity technique is introduced, which can beutilized to compensate channel uncertainties such as multipath fading.(2) Theinformation of life is read by RFID reader, also called life information sensing. Tagsare combinated with sensors to collect life information and send it to reader.(3) Themergence of RFID location information and life information, not only can achieve tocollect and transmit life information, but alse can provide location information,which further improves the functions of health care system. The study combines avariety of techniques, which is important to achieve low-cost and wireless medicalcare system.The main work of this paper is as follows: firstly, a detailed theoretical analysisis done on locate-able health monitoring system based on RFID. Then a feasibleplan is determined to build the hardware platform, which includes position platform、extension reader based on AS3992and the life information terminal based on SL900A. What’s more, the PC software and the underlying program of reader basedon AS3992are desighed. Finally, the system is tested in a laboratory environment.The test results show that in a laboratory environment where three pairs of antennasand four nearest neighbor tags are selected, the average location error is0.25meterand the probability of less than0.4meter error is90%, which achieve the target.While the body temperature, pulse rate and oxygen saturation are successfullycollected.
