On Du Shaowen's Journalism Thought

Du Shaowen is an outstanding journalist,journalistic scholar,as well as anexpert on international issues,published the first systematically academic monographs about “news policy”,who also published the article of “Televisionjournalism” firstly in China.After reading a large amount of his books,the systematized and comprehensive study found that Du Shaowen's thought has twomajor characteristics of inheritance and time in theoretical journalism research,the wartime journalism thought,journalism education thought and journalism edition thought,based on his journalism practice.He got formal and systematic education of journalism,so the ideology of earlier journalism academics delivered to Du.However,Du's journalism practice and research are most carried out in the special context of wars.So,his ideology has distinctive characteristics of the times,fulled of the color of wars and focused on functionality.On the other hand,he is a rare academic scholar that paid attention to the theoretical Journalism during the wartime.And he started to adapt to the theory of Journalism in China.He built a journalism theory system of "Chinese standard",and proposed a journalism education system based on actual situation of China.It can be said that Du Shaowen directly promoted the process of localization of journalism in China.Although Du Shaowen's journalism thought has obvious limitations because of the times,his position and contribution is worth affirmation in Chinese Journalism Academic.
