As the application modes of Internet changes, the networking architecture based on TCP/IP has many problems. Information Centric Networking (ICN), as the representative of the future network, is developing rapidly in recent years. The architecture of ICN has high priorities in distribution efficiency, networking security and deployment. ICN is an alternative to the existing TCP/IP network architecture. On the other hand, the Internet of Things (IoT) is the trend of future network. When taking the ideas of ICN for reference, the architecture design of IoT networking should take the interconnection with existing networks into consideration.The network elements of ICN have different abilities. There is no standard communication protocol between the network elements in different networks. Aiming for these problems, we design a wireless gateway based on ICN and implement it on ARM-based platform. In this thesis, we introduce the architectures of hardware and software, and describe the modules’design and implementation of name conversion, packet format conversion and topology management. The experiments results show that the gateway system enables users of backbone to access WSN for sensing data, and further supports the information-centric interconnection between WSN and the backbone network. |
