Research On The News Value Reduction In The Internet Era

News value,as a basic concept of journalism,has always been the scale for reporters to judge whether facts can become news and the basis to evaluate whether the news has a good social effect.In the network era,with the rapid development of economy and the growth of the people's cultural consumption,news value orientation is also quietly changing: on the one hand,the connotation of the news value is increasing,such as the connotation of freshness gradually extends from "timeliness" to "full time",practical gradually becomes an important criterion of new media,knowledge is also gradually highlighting its necessity.On the other hand,part of the news value elements are misused,news value reduction phenomenon gradually happens,such as interests develop in the direction of vulgarization and pseudo news appears frequently now,these reduction phenomena mean news value is deviating from normal orbit,it affects the normal social function of news value,also destroys the media ecology balance.Facing the vast amounts of information in the Internet era,it is hard for people to depend on the limited time,energy,as well as media literacy to quickly distinguish true news and pseudo news and its quality.Society needs the news value to regress rationally in order to correctly guide the activities.Therefore,we should pay attention to the power of news value,and deal with news value reduction with the right attitude and strategies.In this paper,the author will take the news value orientation as the breakthrough point,and take pseudo news as examples,combine with related theories,research methods to explore the essence of the news value reduction phenomena in the Internet era and call for the regression of news value.This article altogether is divided into the following several parts: the first part is introduction,mainly using the literature analysis method to summarize relevant academic research about the news value and pseudo news,and put forward in this paper,the research and innovation points,key and difficult problems.The second part is the analysis of news value orientation in the Internet era,including the change of the news value elements and pseudo news caused by news value reduction.And mainly explains how the phenomenon of pseudo news impacts the proper emergence of news value.The author uses the comparative analysis on the definition of pseudo news to make interpretations and comparisons,and according to three classic cases "eight years old boy became zombies","the cat is going upstairs or downstairs","Shanghai Guan Sheng Yuan chairman was killed by the monkey" to make detailed classifications and interpretations on the manifestations of pseudo news.It is also an innovation of this article.The third part expounds the harm of the news value reduction and its causes.The fourth part starts from two angles that news value should fit the mainstream value and reflect the diversity of the times and put forward the direction of the news value regression in the Internet era.The fifth part is the key part of the article,the author combines with the case analysis and related theories,and puts forward that strategy of defending news value should include adhering to the two principles and five specific operations.The author hopes to contribute to the rich development of the news value theory in China's Internet era through the writing of this paper.
