Evaluation And Application Research On Management Mode Of Central-branch Library In Public Libraries

The management mode of central-branch library can effectively integrate public cultural resources,promote the extension of high-quality resources in urban and rural areas,realize the unified management of business level,efficiently allocate limited resources.Current researches about central-branch library in public libraries mainly focus on the introduction of practical experience and the rational analysis,while there is not much study reviewing and evaluating the effectiveness of the management mode of central-branch library in public libraries,which makes it difficult to judge how effective the management mode of central-branch library system it is.Evaluating the management mode of central-branch library in public libraries and making the evaluation index system that reflects main characteristics of central-branch library in public libraries can promote the efficient operation of the management work in central-branch library.From the perspective of library management,this paper analyzes the various factors influencing on the management mode of central-branch library in public libraries,and drawing lessons from the researches and practical application results of public library assessment,and initially constructs a set of evaluation index system of management mode of central-branch library in public libraries.Firstly,this paper uses Delphi method to do questionnaire interviews with experts.After three rounds of expert investigation and taking experts' opinions of index system as references,this study finally determines the evaluation index system of the management mode of central-branch library.This evaluation index system has five first-level indicators,including literature resources construction,personnel team,reader service,service technology and service assurance.Secondly,then using analytic hierarchy process method to compare each two factors to construct a judgment matrix,and utilizing mathematical method to calculate the index weights.Thirdly,based on this evaluation index system,this paper carries an empirical study on the Dalian children's library and its branches.By collecting data in the way of librarians' questionnaire and processing these data statistically,this paper analyzes the specific conditions of the management mode of central-branch library in public libraries,and compares the empirical analysis results with the authority of the existing evaluation index system to testify the scientificity of the evaluation index system.Finally,according to the results of the analysis,the author suggests the library can get improved in three aspects,including library literature resources construction,personnel team and service technology,and the specific measures are as follows: constructing the system of literature service resources,strengthening personnel team construction,and increasing the technical support.
