Media literacy is a new concept introduced from China abroad,born in England in the1930 s,and then grew rapidly in Western countries,such as Canada,Australia,the United States,Germany and so on.After years of development and growth,Western countries gradually formed with their respective political,economic,cultural and social education system fit the "localization" of the educational philosophy and practical experience.Retrospectively the source of media literacy education,combing its development context,just a few years there have been many paradigm changes,in which the role of social values can not be ignored.Social values determine the connotation of media literacy education,what kind of political,economic,culture,what kind of social values,and social values to determine the orientation of a country's education system of the value orientation and objectives,in the corresponding educational value orientation the corresponding media literacy education paradigm will come into being.Therefore,by studying the relevant social value concept system of the western countries and the paradigm change of the media literacy education under the influence of this system,the author analyzes the internal and external motives of the change and summarizes its theory and practice results in order to explore the development of China's media literacy education Related revelation.
