The general situation of domestic infrared imaging technique is analyzed first, and the basic principles of infrared imaging system, factors affecting image quality are discussed later. On this basis,a series of studies about hardware circuits and timing analysis are in progress aiming at the uncooled infrared detector GWIR 03 03 of Beijing Guang Wei Integrated Circuits Inc. It has built-in adaptive nonuniformity correction on chip, could avoid complex software compensation. This paper would,in detail,introduce hardware circuits and timing analysis of GWIR 03 03 bias on FPGA. The specific work includes the following aspects: The whole hardware circuit is designed, including the IRFPA driving circuit, signal processing circuit based on FPGA,A/D data acquisition circuit, and image transmission circuit base on Camera Link, at the same time, temperature control circuits were optimized to suppress the noise: The timing design aspect, analysed and designed GWIR timing,AD data collection timing, image transmission timing, for getting undistorted image, the analysis and design of adaptive nonuniformity correction timing, on chip, is the most important.The computer program was developed based on the hardware which has realized the data transmission between computer and FPGA by Camera Link, data storage, data processing and results display. Finally, standard device was used to verify this test system.The main performance parameters were measured, such as noise, detectivity, responsivity and noise equivalent temperature difference.The uncooled infrared image processing system works stably, it can meet the requirements of the focal plane array tests for noise, accuracy, real-time and reliability. The system is also the cost-effective and scalable.
