Uncooled infrared thermal imaging system with its low price, small volume, low power consumption and other advantages and broad application of various fields of national economy. In this paper the original uncooled infrared thermal imaging System on the basis of image processing, using the increasingly popular System on Programmable Chip (System-on-a-Programmable Chip, SOPC) technical improvement and developed the uncooled infrared image processing System based on SOPC.Main technology of infrared thermal imaging and image processing technology are reviewed, this paper introduces the general situation of SOPC technology with the research background of this article and the work, this paper mainly introduces the basic theory of infrared technology, discusses the basic theory of uncooled infrared image processing system, including the system of infrared radiation characteristics, imaging principle and structure of infrared detector, nonuniformity correction algorithm, blind pixel compensation and image enhancement, etc.Based theoretically on the analysis above, this paper puts forward using SOPC technology set up a single FPGA chip as the main processor of real-time infrared image processing system, completed the entire skeleton of image processing system. Completed in a single FPGA real-time infrared image processing algorithm and the control. Including the complete control of infrared focal plane array detector and its image processing of the infrared image processing module and a complete user interaction and auxiliary non real-time calculation of Nios â…¡ processor. The final image effect comparison before and after improvement are given.
