For a long time, factory automation equipment involve production, process, transportation, and other related fields, rarely comes to screening related fields. So major factor limiting the efficiency of screening are sorting mistakes, more time-consuming and need manpower to complete. From the current social development situation, similar or identical data specific items are numerous, So, selecting system needs factory automation, design and implementation of automatic sorting system is imperative.PLC Control is the most commonly used in industrial automation control method, because of its convenient to control withstand an adverse environment, so it's more and more widely used in industry. This paper focus on the application of automatic sorting system. The design of an automatic sorting devices with low cost and high efficiency is presented in the paper, which regards programmable logic controller as the mater controller and combine QD75M, Motor control principle, sensing technology and other technology to implement automatic selecting of the products live. The device is characteristic of high automation, steady running, high precision and easy control, which can fulfill the requirement according to different situation with little modifications.Firstly, this article describes the development situation and direction of automatic sorting devices native and abroad, the reason why design this system, the performance of the system and the function of the system.Secondly, combine with PLC as the core, design the scheme that meet the needs, design the electrical connection diagram and control circuit diagrams including PLC, servo driver, QD75 position module, servo motor.Thirdly, design the Proface touch panel, it's can not only complete the operation in alarm state and manual state, but also monitor the work status of sorting system in real-time.Lastly, Simulating and debugging the whole system, complete the final design aspects of the whole system. Drawing conclusions of this sorting system, and the prospect of post-automatic sorting system.
