As the research topic of this dissertation ,the application technology in automation control area by connect the PLC and LCD touch panel controller together with MPI communication mode is real hi-tech in automation technology now .there no real using in the production area until now . the using of this technology in most of the manufacture equipments will improve the automatic function ,reduce the fault operation and also the quality of the product .and also cause the production process become flexible and stable . the friendly communicated touch panel controller will let the operator to drive the machine easily and more clearly by less training time , all the process parameter and situation will indicate on the screen and be all under control ,also can treat all the accident by simple way .The machine was used for the PCB manufactory process . and this horizontal wet process line has been already put in mass production in the customer : Sony chemical (suzhou) Co.,ltd , and was running perfectly until now . PCB as one of the basic and important electric parts can support all the other components amounted on it and connect them together by designed logic connection relationship , it can also have the function of heat flow and isolation etc .it's used in communication and automobiles and computer industry area and so on , maybe be can found in all kinds of the electric products . now the PCB technology are developing into 2 direction , one is goes to more thin , light and flex with fine line which can use for the notebook and GSM mobile phone and PDA etc with blind and bury via-holes and high layer HDI .the min hole 0.1mm and min thickness 0.05mm . the other direction is goes to high layer, more thick and big as the back panel can put in the cabinet of communication exchange system to reduce the wiring between each function block which will cause the noise and power reduce . we also can compact several basic electric function like resister into the panel between each layers by special pattern lay-out .and low Dk and high Tg material and PTFE also start to be used to make PCBs to fit some special requirements of the product .In order to let every body to understand the PCB manufacture process , it takes several pages to descript the PCB background and kinds and basic process with the pictures as well . as this machine will be used in dry film pre-clean process , so that I also introduce the technical details of this process .in order to indicate that all the machine design will always according to the chemical concept and process control rules and have to catch the function during production , including the design of module construct , all piping , spray and conveyor system and the dosing system etc .and all the electronic hard ware designed functions which will support all the necessary function of the relative chemical processThen we start to introduce the software design both of the PLC and touch panel which is the major topic . PLC programmable logical controller as the main key control central unit in every automatic machine will be most important part. all the operation order will be sent from it to all the device like motor ,heater and pumps after several logical calculate by all the input signal and input parameters . the touch panel controller which can compact all the process parameter and machine situation display on the LCD screen for the operator easy understanding .the communication connection between touch panel and PLC will according one of the SIEMENS industry standard MPI (multi-points interface) by RS484 mode . it's a simple connection by 2 wire cable and can avoid noise and fault by running in stable .only needs several settings in the software without any additional complicated communication device .in this system the communication speed will keep in 187kbit/s.Totally, the beginning of this dissertation start from the background and description of PCBs manufacture process technology to the design details of the dry film pre-clean line including the chamber construct , then to indicate all the hardware and software design of the PLC and touch panel controller .The major new advantages of this technology is design the real PLC and touch panel communication technology to use in the actually machine by first time , in order to cover all the disadvantages on the original push button control cabinet system . and also work out all the complete software system both for PLC and touch panel , so that the machine can be running under fully automatic mode and improve the machine performance and make the line more stable and flexible and easy operating same as improve the competition comprehension of the company in the market .
