In today's rapid development of society,the Inte rnet plays a vital role in our lives,and learning are inseparable from the Internet,which in various of the MAN in front of us.The development of MAN experienced a process,from the early STP,RPR and later the RRPP. As networks becomes more and more complicated,requirements of the protocol is also higher,such as the link fails to restore normal conwergence time more smaller and smaller,requiring less than 50 ms,so the user during use will not fell a network failure.ERPS technology is in such a background.First,the thesis introduces the basic concepts and technical principles of ERPS protocol, including ERPS ring,the node classification,ERPS protocol packets,ERPS timer and operation mechanism.Then,it focuses on the research of two typical ERPS technologies in the test process.First,when the main ring single point of failure,the traffic in accordance with the previous MAC table forwarding will occur traffic interruption,we must make the flow returns to normal equipment refresh MAC tables,but you can not notice other nodes refresh MAC table after a failure.To solve the problem,we need to study how to notify the other nodes to refresh MAC tables. The second is in the multiple links simultaneously multiple points of failure,resulting network traffic interruped,in order to solve the problem,it is necessary to study when the main ring fault how informed the sub ring switch link,and does not appear to be isolated.Method for the study of the above two problems are combined with the current solution's flaws,propose the own solutions,principle of the method to solve the problem of need with R-APS protocol message field carrying their required information, problem one need the failure of node MAC table carring the VLAN information to notify other nodes optimization refresh handing;the second problem required the message carring node failures MAC information determine whether multiple points of failure,and then notify the subring link switching is used to solve the problemof isolated island. Verification test first simulation problems of the scene for networking,and then use the tools to capture message,according to the data obtained by analyzing packet forwarding path to verify the correctness of the program.Secondly studies the technonogy of Ethernet ring network state machine migration on traffic congestion.ERPS state machine in the external event triggered,the state jumps to the normal state switch forwards traffic to ensure the link.But when the link traffic congestion,the state machine can not be triggered to switch the link,which leads to the usure can not normally access the Internet.Then introduction of manual intervention MFS state.The principle of the program is to simulate an external trigger event let ERPS aggrement in any state can be switched MFS attificial state intervention, that the propose is when a normal link ERPS still capable of sitching data traffic,the advantage of the entire ring network traffic load balancing can be achived while reducing congestion of the link,but does not affect the interrupt ot her business services.Finally through the three study sites in the content and problem solutions of the comparative analysis,optimal solutions,and the solutions developed in this thesis is correct and superior is verified through experimental tests.
