In the 2ed decade of 21 century, the convergence of new media and tradition media is getting deeper and there showing a trend of versatility integration between media, means the “Convergence Media” time which variety of media coexist has come. Convergence Media makes fully use of the characteristics of resource accommodation, content compatibility, publicity interaction, interests harmony to maximize the dissemination results. The contemporary college students which grow up in the Convergence Media environment have tremendous changes in the media habits and accept psychologically of dissemination content, and all of those bring university campuses' ideological and political education unprecedented opportunity and challenges.Based on the ideological and political education communication research, by referring to the existing literature, according to the time order, I sort out the development of domestic and foreign convergence media and characteristics and condition in different media environment, exploring the domestic and foreign convergence media application rules. According to the media contact questionnaire conclusion of CDUT students and the analysis of current real case of convergence media actual application in ideological and political education, by the way of interdisciplinary research, combine the Communication Studies and Political Education Communication, all-round analysis the using of convergence media in the promotion of college students' ideological and political education. Promoting the innovation of ideological and political education and coming up with optimization suggestions to the Educational Communication, so as to enrich and develop Education Communication theory. Thesis focus on the opportunity and challenges which media convergence bring in, deeply analysis college students' media contact habit, discussing the rule and characteristics, finding a efficient path which can help promoting campus media publicity convergence, fully unlock the advantages of campus convergence media to finish ideological and political work.Section1, through the study of the development process of the convergence media, research the domestic and foreign convergence media's theory literature, organize the viewpoint from the perspective of theoretical and practical basis. The convergence media research has evolved from the early what is "media convergence", how to achieve "media convergence" to a real "media convergence", as the development of Big Data, Cloud computation and other digital and mobile terminals technology, the research of Convergence Media will be more specific and deeper. Nowadays college urgently needs to conform to the convergence media trends and establish new educational communication system, leads to the second part of the research.Section2, firstly explain the concept and characteristic of Convergence Media, education communication and ideological education communication. Secondly, from the perspective of communication studies, I classified summarized the new thought which the dynamic pattern of Convergence Media brings to the ideological and political education: currently students use the media platform to share resources, publish information frequently and widespread, that means the age of ideological indoctrination guided by the way the mainstream media is over. The new media which grow up from tradition media has replaced the dominant role of tradition media, that bring a huge influence in college students' knowledge structure, values, ideas etc. At last, comparing the traditional ideological and political education communication with the one in Convergence Media time from the form, content and communication regular, leads to the third part the advantage research of Convergence Media in ideological and political education.Sectin3, I summary the media contact habits of college students(Stay away from the official platform. Both accept the Authoritative media and the similar media. with the motivation of knowing about news, learning knowledge and entertainment. The contact time of new media such as cellphone, pad and laptop is more than the tradition media on behalf of newspaper, magazine and TV. Prefer sort news, current politics news and people's livelihood news, especially the domestic current politics news and negative news.)by the way of questionnaire survey. I also compare the characteristic of new media and tradition media one by one, find out the advantages of Convergence Media and use them to optimize ideological and political education communication's limit of time and space and the education skill.Section4, by the real case research of the using of Convergence Media in promoting ideological and political education--E Class, finding out the positive effect of campus convergence media(Change the mode of ideological and political education, ideological and political education online learning and communication platform which students prefer, students can accept ideological and political education better, effective develop the advantage of timeliness, supervise the online public opinion, centralization and standardization manage the campus media), and also analysis the positive effect and shortcomings(have no specificity advantage function, lack of value to attract students when there is no long any administration order), find how the Convergence Media work in college ideological and political education. We can find the promoting role of Convergence Media in future's campus ideological and political education, college can integrate the media resource to create a media platform which can better adapt to ideological and political education, and play a better role.Section 5, summary the obstacles and problems during the process the promoting ideological and political education by Convergence Media(Educational communicators dominant position has been weakened in Convergence Media environment, lack of the method of ideological and political education by Convergence Media, educated population is excessive reliance on the media, the using of Convergence Media in college ideological and political education starts relatively late, and the platform which college build is short of interactive, so that there is not much influence on the college students, there are some problems of media supervision in colleges, college ideological and political education disseminator is lack of the ability to integrate multiple media.), and find the corresponding strategies(Innovation spread content and form, integrate media resources, enhance interaction, following the development trend of Convergence Media.) to make the ideological and political education's future development comely with Convergence Media's tendency.
