The radar signal simulator could generate the required radar radiation signals for various types, and then build electromagnetic environment of complex radar signal.It plays an important role in assessing the technical and tactical indicators and the effectiveness of radar surveillance equipment. It has the advantages of flexible, economic, easy to control and repeatable, playing an important role in testing radar surveillance system. Embedded display controller is an important part of the radar signal simulator, which provides a platform of human-computer interaction for radar signal simulation system.The design of interactive software based on the platform, mainly to complete the test scene description,test process management and testing status and parameter records, control and manage the communication of the entire system.The task of this paper is to design a display and control system with good performance of interaction based on S3C2416 processor, Windows CE6.0 operating system and Qt/Embedded, The main work of this paper is as follows:1.Analyze the structure and working principle of the radar signal simulator, and then determine what functions the interactive software need to implement. Combined with demand analysis, the design of hardware module and software module of the display and control system of radar signal simulator is given.2.Study the embedded operating system and expound the reason of choosing Windows CE operating system. Show how to operate the kernel cutting and customize the operation system in view of the need.3.This paper study the principle TCP communication and USB communication, It was achieved the communication by network interface and USB interface through the programming.. Complete communication protocol design, and the protocol frame is checked by CRC to ensure the stability of the system of communication.4.Based on Qt/Embedded development platform, Qt development environment is established. By the design of parameter setting module, management control module, data processing module and a signal simulation module,complete the design of human-computer interaction software.5.The basic types of radar signals were analyzed. Including pulse amplitude modulation signal, LFM signal and the phase encoded signals, analysis the principles of signal and the characteristicsa of time domain and frequency domain. based on Qt and Matlab programming, the simulation of radar signal waveform has been completed.6.Finally, the system tested by setting the parameter on the interface. The communication and functions of human-computer interaction software were tested. While comparing the output signal waveform of the radar signal simulator and software simulation waveforms verified the performance of radar signal simulator. The test results show a good performance, the interactive software that we designed, fully functional,running smoothly, meet the functional needs of the system in the present.
