As with the development of Radio technology recent years, Lots of Radio patterns appear. As the test equipment of electronic reconnaissance system, radar signal simulator can produce several patterns of radar signal by programming, simulate radar signal environment as same as the real. It acts a very important role in testing and experiment of electronic reconnaissance system. The embedded display module is the interface of radar signal simulator. Its design quality will directly determine the user’s feeling of operation. Whether can the embedded display module accurately convey the settings which set by user to the signal board is also very important. And it will impact the whole system. The embedded display module of Radar signal simulation system is based on embedded ARM9 architecture, Windows CE 6.0 operation system. The design of this embedded. display is finished under Visual Studio 2005. This paper briefly introduces as below:1.Analysis the demand of radar signal simulator, design the display control software architecture on modular design. Achieved the embedded man-machine interface, communicate with signal board and upper machine, parameter setting and signal simulate control etc. Radar parameters can be set through upper machine and embedded display control software.60 channels can produce signal at the same time.2.Study the embedded hardware equipment and operating system. Use Windows CE 6.0 operating system, kernel cutting and customize the operation system in view of the need.3.Design the software of radar signal display control simulator, the software is written in C++. Including parameters input with touch screen, number input and function control. Storage use Cfile architecture, LCD display use graph mode. Development board provides 7 inch LCD touch screen, support windows ce.net 6.0 embedded operation system, exploit through Visual Studio 2005.4.Study the communication theory of TCP/IP and USB, communicate with signal board through USB, realize self-review and parameters transmission. Communicate with upper machine through TCP, transfer the result of self-review to the upper machine, pass and analysis the communication protocol. Realize long-range control.5.Test the software of radar signal simulator, connect with signal board and communication board. Set the parameters of radar through interface and produce radar wave through signal board. By several patterns and functions testing, Indicated that the software achieve the expect goal and run steadily.
