Hospital multidimensional analysis and decision support system is a computer application system which can be implemented to analyze and model specific business and assist managers to make decisions through the use of data warehouse and online analytical processing technology. With the development of information technology, the number and capacity of the database is growing. Although a large number of data are stored in the database of the hospital, they cannot be used well due to the lack of effective tools to extract valuable information. The research and creation of the hospital multidimensional analysis and decision support system can make full use of plentiful historical data which can be transformed into a large number of information and knowledge of hospital management to make a contribution to the competitiveness of the hospital.With the development of operational data to analyze data, online transaction processing(OLTP) cannot be able to meet the needs of terminal users to query and analyze data. On the basis of the research and analysis of decision support system at home and abroad, a hospital data analysis and decision support system based on OLAP is put forward combined with the data warehouse, OLAP and other technical modeling. The system can extract, clean and convert the data scattered in the hospital management system, and then load these data into data warehouse. The above processing results are shown in the form of the report using on-line analytical tools, which is used to meet the basic needs of managers and contribute improving the deployment of personnel, staff training and the overall operation.Firstly, the data warehouse technology, the online analytical processing technology are analyzed briefly in this thesis, and the multi-dimensional analysis modeling methods based on OLAP are summarized simultaneously. Secondly, according to the specific demand of the hospital, four themes of outpatient service, inpatient service, patient and human resources are established and deeply discussed. Then with the service of Services Analysis, the concept model, logical model and physical model are established respectively. Finally, a three layer structure based on B/S is set up to realize the multidimensional analysis and decision support system of the hospital.In this thesis, the innovations include the following points: Firstly, the four theme model of outpatient service, inpatient service, patient and human resource are proposed, and the measurement and dimension of the multidimensional data analysis model are established as well, which provides the premise for data mining. Secondly, a three layer architecture is put forward in this thesis to adapt to different business by using different data access methods, and the system is more flexible by using object-oriented thinking. Finally, the components in this thesis are developed secondly to provide users with a drill up, drill down, slice and the linkage between charts and tables. The system provides all the basic functions for users and has excellent user experience.
