The Design And Implementation Of CNBG’s Financial Data Warehouse Based On SAP BW

In the face of increasingly severe market competition, the pharmaceutical enterprises have more attention to the work of information technology. This thesis takes China National Biotechnology Group Company Limited (hereinafter referred to as CNBG) as an example. With the operation of CNBG’s SAP (System Applications and Products) ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system, we product a large number of daily financial data, and forced by competition, Managers of the enterprise needs to convert the data into analysis and decision-making information that provides support for the enterprise development.This thesis is based on the systems implementation about BI (Business Intelligence) which is the SAP BW (Business Information Warehouse), combine the OLAP (On-Line Analytical Processing) relevant financial data, and objective to provide reliable and efficient statement analysis for leadership decision. Complete the following main content.(1) This thesis focuses on describing briefly the development for financial information, analyzing the financial data warehouse information about the pharmaceutical industry from home and abroad, studying the business intelligence and the data warehouse, and researching detailed the key data objects for the technology implementation about SAP BW.(2) According to user’s requirements, I divide the financial data warehouse of CNBG into four subject areas for the analysis platform:General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts receivable, building under construction; and I has been designed as architecture, conceptual model, logical model and a physical model for the financial data warehouse of CNBG based on SAP BW.(3) This thesis describes the realizing about the financial data warehouse of CNBG based on SAP BW, including creating the business model and the achieving of data extraction, data conversion and data loading by the ETL (Extract-Transform-Load).(4) Through the business explorer of SAP BW, implemented the query and display the financial data warehouse, and show the OLAP analysis.This thesis provides the decision solution how to convert massive enterprise business data into information analysis and decision-making. This thesis is universal and representative on the technology theoretically, and has reference for others based on the implementation of the financial data warehouse; for SAP BW data warehouse, product technology has its unique and the technical describes in detail that can help the relevant technical personnel to learn quickly to understand the design architecture concept for mainstream enterprise data warehouse.
