A Multidimensional Data Warehouse Based Business Intelligence System A-EBI Design And Implement

Alone with the development of technique and improvement of the information degree, more and more enterprise become interestion of using Date Warehouse System to fulfil their requirement of huge data store and information reuse. The multidimensional DW itself uses a business orientation way to organize the data wich can provide plantform for quickly quering and retrieving into huge data.Business Intelligence System, developing in recent years, can help entireprise in their data analysis and reporting to support the decision process. This article dissertated the BI domain correlation theory and technical achievement, based on these analysis, the article designed and realizes multi-dimensional data application function, as follows shows:(1) During the data objects' design, abundant studies on multidimensional query language MDX (Multidimensional Express, inquire about languages in multidimensional data) has been done. This language offered by MS Analysis Services warehouse system, and the way that MDX describe the multidimensional data are used in our designing of data object.(2) Designed many kinds of form of multi-dimensional data controls, which could nimbly analyze data and clearly display the result, especially the tree controls.(3) The article also analyzed and designs user defined member and the KPIs (Key Performance Indetector), they are two representatively part in the multitudinous advanced function which OLAP provides comparatively.(4) The multi-dimensional data report form realization is one several basic questions.in the BI system. This article designed and realizes a set of report form based on XML.All these design above are using in A-EBI (Aurora Enterprises Business Intelligence) system. The A-EBI system invested by the Chongqing U-Software company is the first domestic BI solution developing on .Net platform. The A-EBI system has the good user interaction, performance ability and report function. The test and the use result indicates, the A-EBI system obtained the good result in the multi-dimensional data performance, interaction and reporting.
