Reading is the fundamental way for humankind to get human knowledge, it can affect the quality of a person or even a rise and fall of a national culture. In recent years, advocate reading has become the ethos of The Times international and domestically. In terms of promotion of reading in our country, it is first started in the public library and university library in recent years also hasten step to keep up with and gradually to shine. University of reading promotion activity can promote the whole society members actives of reading enthusiasm and initiative, forming good social reading atmosphere. University library in promoting reading has its external and internal reasons and external aspects is a response to the national reading initiative and internal reasons, is the need of the development of the library itself: objectively library needs to cope with the declining book circulation rate, subjectively library needs to show its best to gain recognition and support. So for the university library, from inside to outside, from objective to subjective it is necessary to make innovation in reading promotion service.At present, the university library reading promotion activities have such aspects: the consciousness of reading promotion activities is strong, activity types variously, the audience is of a single kind and lack evaluation mechanism. To promote the benign development of reading promotion activities in colleges and universities, colleges and universities must make detailed analysis and research for the reading promotion. In this paper, we select three universities of henan province's library reading promotion activities as sample, we take into consideration the subject(university library) and object(the reader) to research, in order to get all kinds of information and data of reading promotion activities, and then explore the influencing factors of the university library reading promotion and the relationship between these factors, finally we make a analyze to the problems which reflected the research outcome, and provides some effective countermeasures for the existing problems and implementation Suggestions. In this paper, the research aims at provide valuable reference for the university library reading promotion activities further healthy develop degree.
