The development of equipment running and inspection operation aid system for Shanghai North Electric Power Supply Company is oriented towards the company's highly demanded requirements in power grid maintenance, supporting the operation's formality, efficiency and exactness.Through the aid of this information system the operation related fundamental data, equipment status data and evaluation tools based on which to make reasonable decisions are integrated to efficiently support the engineers works and raise the decision's exactness.Centralized around the company's business requirements a sequence of design and implementation works are presented in this thesis, which include electrical power equipments and lines defect diagnose support, electrical power equipments and lines running risk analysis and evaluation support, electrical power equipments and lines maintenance project decision making support and related functions of comprehensive report generating, failure recognition and analysis model base management, statistics and special transaction processing. With the above functions as the most important requirements the software system's analysis, design and implementation is discussed and presented in the thesis in accordance with modern software engineering methodologies and techniques. Use case models and the global design framework and software architecture is designed which has multilayer structures. The multilayer software architecture is discussed with focus on the most important objects and routines distributed on each functional layers together with the software models of time sequence diagrams, database entity and relationship diagrams and the relational data model of some representative tables as examples. The implementation and test of this software system are also discussed.This software system is developed with C++ and Oracle data routine programming languages running on the general Windows platforms. Through its initial application phases it shows its ability in aiding defects diagnose, risk evaluation and maintenance project decision making, satisfying the users'requirements in power grid running and inspection support.
