Remote monitoring(REMON) is an important area of development for the Internet of Things(IoT). During the past few years, IoT monitoring technology has seen a lot of improvements as more types of terminal platforms equipped with sensors, radio frequency features, or QR code technology. Hardware systems(including embedded software) and information management platform development have become indispensable for IoT.The cost of R&D for Io T systems has grown rapidly, because different kinds of terminal devices have their own data management platform. This thesis looks at the problem from an application perspective to identify scalable data management platforms compatible with different devices is designed in this thesis to help reduce costs in IoT development. The system includes a REMON data managing platform and remote video surveillance management platform. The REMON data processing platform design focuses on database design, monitoring data reception system, and system information management, and the data will be displayed on the customized website in real time using data management platform. The video management system includes both server and client, which provide a completed solution of managing the video data.The core of the data processing platform is built with a SSH + Mina frame. The platform is mainly responsible for data parsing, data storage, data display, users and device information management. Users can define terminal data format and content. The system also provides some general data pre-processing methods that can provides users some references for decision-making.There are two different types of solutions for remote video management platform: the first solution focuses solely on data management for the terminal devices with video function; the second solution provides both video server and client management features. These features allow the user to store and forwards data while the client plays video and stream data.
