The oil depots which responsible for storage and transport of oil play an important role in our country which consumes a lot in oil every day. But the present ways of oil depots’monitoring and management are too outdated, and complicated and hard to operate. For example, the measurement of oil reserves in the oil depot are often carried by manual or wired devices, which makes the measurement difficult and unsafe, and there is few management method for oil tankers, leading to lots of thefts of the oil. How to solve the problems of management of oil depots is important in the area of management and monitoring of oil depots.With the rapid development of network technology, wireless monitoring technology and the technology of Internet of Things, a growing number of intelligent technical solutions are applied into the industry monitoring and control, which would make the highly automated and intelligent management in oil depots possible. In this paper, we will build a informationalized platform for Monitoring and management of oil depots, in which the main work would be the working data collection of the oil tanks in oil depots, real-time safety observation of the moving oil tankers, the data collection, positioning and scheduling of oil tankers and the anti-theft video monitoring in oil depots.In the paper, we designed and constructed an informationalized platform for wireless monitoring and management of oil depots in a wide range by means of wireless transmission, mobile internet, and electronic sensors, and besides designed and realized the software and hardware system of the monitoring model of a single reservoir, including the following:Firstly, we designed the hardware and software system of the remote wireless monitoring node of a single reservoir and management node of fuel tank car and gateway, and the liquid level and temperature measuring of oil tanks, humidity measuring of the reservoir, of reservoir and, tacking and positioning of fuel tank cars, the security video monitoring and the data interaction with monitoring center were finished in the system.Subsequently, we analyzed the feasibility of the application of wireless video monitoring technology into the management platform of oil depots, and built a lumped monitoring and management project of oil depots by the technology. And then, we programmed the course of video monitoring after careful analysis and obtained the data and picture results of the program by means of the LabVIEW programming and virtual instrument designing, which indicated that our platform is feasible.Finally, we evaluated the platform designed in this paper and analyzed its’ deficiencies, and the improvement proposal was considered.
