Remote Monitoring System Based On Embedded Web Technology Research

As the development of computer, microelectronics and network technology, the monitoring technology based on B/S mode wins a wide application. To realize the monitoring of intelligent community, a complete solution to B/S monitoring scheme is studied by theoretical and engineering practice method, which has important engineering value.A synthetic solution to remote video and data monitoring is designed. Using general Web page as client, it interacts with server through embedded Web server. The monitoring server is composed of video sub server, data sub server, and intelligent appliances controller.A solution to video server of remote monitoring system is designed based on V4L2. The video transmission is implemented by streaming media technology. The data frame collected is compressed by the H.264standard, then it is packed according to RFC3984, and using JRTPLIB library to transport it on net. The test result shows that this system has high stability and low delay. To realize unattended monitoring mode, an algorithm for foreground detection is designed based on CODEBOOK module, it can better adapt to the change of light intensity, and the problem of pixel changing dramatically in complex background is solved.A data server of remote monitoring system is proposed based on embedded technology. The collected data communicates with upper machine through RS485bus. The upper machine uses SQLite as database, Thttpd as light Web server, and it accesses database by CGI script. The system has the functions of real-time monitoring of temperature, humidity and smog data on-site.An email warning system is developed according to MIME protocol. If abnormal situation appears, the abnormal information and current capturing picture will be sent to the administrator by email. So it improves the system’s stability and management efficiency.
