With the emergence of new technologies and materials,today's fast-changing market,escalating customer demands,increasing the degree of competition among enterprises.With the fiber access technology in foreign countries from active to passive huge transformation, "Light of Copper" broadband access concepts are also growing in popularity.PON(Passive Optical Network) technology has gone from APON/BPON to develop EPON/GPON, but also mature.It has unlimited bandwidth and greater transmission capacity,to avoid electromagnetic interference,and transmission media in general,safe is not easy to be stolen.Optical Network is the leading information age,especially passive optical network is saving the active equipment the complexity and power inputs and inconve nient,to avoid single points of failure,can improve system reliability.Mainstream domestic networking is EPON(Ethernet Passive Optical Network),is through the OLT-OBD-ONU network of structures can carry Ethernet,voice,video,and high-definition digital cable television,and other services,compatible with xDSL.Based on the concept of optical access understanding and analysis of the growth of the Internet technology,communication needs, combined with the user and the power distribution equipment, advantages and disadvantages,carry out the structural design of optical fiber network, in order to determine the evelopment of the network topology.According to the structure of PON network diagram to determine the device type selection, location, number anddistance calculation of the optical network unit equipment, the choice of optical devices, complete routing technology and passed the acceptance specification.This paper consists of six parts. The first part is the introduction, analyzed the research background, expounds the purpose and significance of the research. The second part introduces the PON passive optical network, optical fiber access network of the basic concepts, basic structure, network structure and hierarchical structure are described, the design ideas and to illustrate the solution of PON optical access network. The third part is the research method of ODN network design, the theory of the content, model and hierarchical structure to do the corresponding review. The fourth part explains optical devices in PON optical access network selection. The fifth part is the wiring technology andacceptance specification for optical fiber access network, and the results of performance test. The last part is theconclusion, summarizes and prospects.
