With the sustained and rapid development of the internet, a great deal of new online business emerge, especially sweeping the online game, video conference, video-on-demand business in recent years. It makes the demanding of bandwidth to go on increasing. According to the data analysis, in the next three years, the demanding of broadband about user will increase more than12M averagely, and the traditional access methods will not be able to meet the demand for broadband. Comparing to wire and wireless accessing technology, the broadband capacity and transmitting distance of optical fiber accessing technology have great advantage. With the GPON, EPON, et al., a lot of low-cost technologies emerge and become mature rapidly. At the same time, the rapid decline of the cost of fiber-optic cable, so many business operators can realize their service work by optical fiber transmission. We can predict FTTH is about to enter a new era under the co-operation of technology and market.In this paper, the PON technology based on the FTTH is mainly investigated, and the system architecture and solutions are also discussed. With specific individual village accessing project, we realize FTTH technology. The main research contents are followed:1. The developing process and the system structure of Ethernet passive optical network (EPON) are presented, and we also extend it to FTTH technology.2. According to comparative analysis of different broadband accessing technology, it is concluded that the FTTH accessing technology is excellent than other technology, and at the same time, the optimal scheme of FTTH accessing is given.3. According to the selected optimal FTTH accessing solution, a comprehensive designing scheme including equipment system, distribution system, and the trunk line, is given.4. In accordance with the established FTTH scheme design, a specific project has been carried out and finished. Especially it is worth to mention, the project has been put into practice.5. By ringing tone audiometer,100BASE-T port test, PON optical interface test to test engineering actual usage.6. The actual difficulty suffered in the project operating and relevant resolving are stated.
