Research And Implementation Of Liaoyuan CATV Mode Of FTTH

According to ―Code for design of communication engineering for fiber to the home in residential districts and residential buildings ‖ and ―Code for construction and acceptance of communication engineering for fiber to the home in residential districts and residential buildings‖ published by Ministry of housing and urban rural development of People’s Republic of China, fiber to the home of the new residential district will be fully realized. At the same time, the process of the fiber to the home district should be sped up by reference to the national standard.Fiber to the home(FTTH) refers to the optical network unit(ONU) directly installed in the user side, to achieve ―Fiber Replace Copper‖ in the entire network and high broadband access users. In recent years, FTTH has developed rapidly due to the advanced technology and the supportion of the policy. At present, FTTH is very popular and large-scale applied because of its advanced techniques and cheaper materials.The constructions of the FTTH of the three major domestic telecoms have been developed and put into use at a large scale in response to the policy, while the main technique of Community Antenna Television(CATV)is still coaxial cable instead of FTTH due to the lack of network integration and fund. In recent years, CATV has already lost its monopoly at the market of digital TV and it’s hard to improve profits just depending on the limited digital TV. CATV need to enlarge the scale of market,development to broadband access based data communiation service, and all this to based on stable and reliable fiber opitic network access.Therefore, in order to improve its market competiveness, there is no hesitation to put FTTH into use.A number of CATV operators started the construction of cable network in China under the pressure of competiveness and development dilemma. The CATV of Liaoyuan, as a part of Jilin CATV operator(Jishi Media), also started large scale planning construction of FTTH network.This paper analyzed the development status of domestic broadcasting and Liaoyuan CATV network; studied the EPON Technology and analyzed EPON Technology of CATV network construction of FTTH, eventually formulate Liaoyuan radio and television network construction principle, planning and design reasonable construction scheme. The design ideas are as follows: First, according to the actual situation of Liaoyuan City, the network needs to carry on the analysis of the business needs, design network bandwidth and spectral series and other technical indicators. Secondly, Planning and design reasonable construction scheme for different network construction scenarios. Finally, the article analyze the cost and the benefit of the network construction.At last, this paper put the a residential district in Liaoyuan, YiHeShangShuYuan as an example, comprehensively discuss the EPON FTTH network construction scheme, at the design and construction, eventually, analyze and summarize the process of construction.
