The Development Of Control System For Magneto Stator Automatic Wire-plugging Line

As the power supply of ignition system for petrol engine, magneto plays an important role in all kinds of automobile and motorcycle. Thus magneto's quality and production has a very important influence to automobile and motorcycle industry. There is big difference compared with foreign countries due to the limitation of manual work in the output and quality. There is in need of automation for the production line.In order to improve this present situation of magneto stator's production by manual work, this topic developed a set of automation line for wire plugging, including feeding,glue, wire plugging, drying and transportation. The automation line's function is used to improve the production efficiency and the mass stability, to reduce labor and cost. This subject adopts the most common and difficult magneto stator 89-02 as the research object for the kinds of magneto stator is so huge. Replacing the manual labor to plug wire through the automated production line.In order to make the whole process come true, the control system need to integrate all of the parts. The system use PLC as the control core and SCM as the auxiliary controller, then use a touch screen for human-computer interaction. The touch screen communicate with PLC by RS-485, thus the operator can control the whole system. This paper come up with the algorithm of time transformation to solve the data transmission between PLC and SCM.After many debugging of the system parameters,the stability of system has been improved.After a long time's continuous test, the production line showed that this equipment can meet the demand for feeding, dropping of gum, shearing line, plugging line, and drying function. The time each process need is 21.1 seconds, only about one third of the original manual operation, it has greatly improved production efficiency. In the experiment of 350 products, there are 344 qualified products, product qualification rate reached 98.3%,achieved the established goals. The length of wire and the strip head also the same with the value. There is no overflow or lack of phenomenon that glue quantity is very fine. The tension of the magneto stator which have been dried between 8 kg, meet the requirements.Due to this production line is designed for the most difficult magneto stator products type89-02, the production line can adapt to most of the existing magneto stator and widely used after exchange the bin mold and the wire-plugging mold. In all, the line is satisfied with the requirement of the manufacturer,and the application prospect is very broad.
