At present, longitudinal and lateral shear automatic production line is widely used in manufacturing enterprises, it applies to household appliances, automobiles, container, shipbuilding and other metal processing industries. In order to make the line with high automation level, so as to meet the needs of sheet metal processing, we developed the high performance control system.The production line is composed of charging car, uncoiler, leveling machine, swing bridge, feeder, slitting shear, coiler for trimmings, cross shear, conveyer belt, the layout and other components.The control system consists of PLC, touch screen, frequency converters, AC servo system and other devices to realize the high reliability, high efficiency and high precision control. It uses Mitsubishi FX2N series PLC as a controller, uses the Omron inverter 3G3RV drive leveling machine to leveling materials, uses LENZE servo drives EVS9327-EP drive the feeder accurate feeding, uses touch screen MT510 of WEINVIEW as the human-computer interface to set parameters and monitor the production process.The control system has three work-methods:common, signal action and automatic operation. The methods of common and signal can debugging the equipments before the production line is running automatically. If everything is normal, we can realize the automatic operation of the production line. The system security could be guaranteed efficiently by using multi-layered security measure, ensure the operators and machines security. Everything has gone well after the production line has put into operation. Practice proves that the control system is running stably, function is reliable, control accuracy is 1m±0.1mm, it meets the needs of production process, and improves the production efficiency and the economic efficiency.
