The application of laser diode(LD)is very extensive.In the production process of LD,in order to ensure its quality and make it work reliably over the long term,the aging test is generally performed before the product is molded.And it is essential for the detection of LD power,because in the actual production process,LD's power value is usually used as an indicator to measure whether the product is qualified.For the current TO56 packaging production line,power detection is still in the stage of manual loading,clamping,testing,and blanking,this method of detection not only has low production efficiency,but also causes unstable detection results due to manual clamping detection.To improve this phenomenon,we design a simple power automatic detection system for LD packaging production line.The power automatic detection system for LD packaging production line developed by this project is mainly composed of two parts: mechanical structure and motion control.Under the premise of clearing the overall design idea,according to the functional characteristics that can be achieved,the mechanical structure of the system adopts the form of Cantilever Cartesian Robot.Correspondingly,according to the working stroke of the Cartesian coordinate robot,the carrying platform and positioning method of the PCB board are also designed.For the important functional modules in the mechanical structure,including stepping motors,ball screws,guide rails,laser power meter probe,limit switches,drives,power supply,etc.,design calculations and model selections were performed.The mechanical structure of the system was modeled and assembled in three dimensions,the finite element analysis software of ANSYS was used to analyze the static strength and modal of the cantilever beam where the safety performance was weakest,it was verified that the strength and stiffness meet the safety requirements.The motion control part determines the open-loop control mode based on "touch screen + PLC + stepping motor".According to the point control principle,the motion path was planned,and two control modes,automatic and manual,were designed.After the movement program of the laser power meter probe was defined,PLC and touch screen were programmed,and through the parameter setting,the communication between PLC,PC and touch screen was achieved.After clearing the I/O address allocation of the PLC,the external wiring of the PLC is completed.The best detection height experiment and multi-point detection experiment were conducted by building the experimental platform.The experimental results show that the detection system meets the requirements of positioning accuracy.Compared with manual detection,the detection efficiency is faster and the detection result is more stable and reliable,so this system meets the design requirements.
