| With the rapid development of new media and the marketization of the entire media industry, the local party newspaper is facing a serious survival situation. Facing the intense competition, Changsha Evening News has made a breakthrough on achieving a steady growing reading rate by displaying its own strengths and launching a series of influential monographic reports.This thesis selected all the monographic reports of Changsha Evening News from 2011 to 2013 as samples. With the research methods of case study and content analysis as well as the practice and depth interviews in this newspaper, this thesis aims to analysis the overall features of the monographic report of Changsha Evening News.First, based on the collected planning proposals of the newspaper's monographic report, this thesis analyzed its topic planning, angles setting and organization work, it is found that its planning directly reflects the philosophy and newspaper editors thought. In the recent three years, its planning has become a routine step and is receiving more and more attention. In addition, its planning mechanism is becoming more and more mature.Except planning, this thesis goes deeper to analyze its strength and shortco mings. By concluding its contents of different phrase, it is found that these news monographic tend to preheat the topic, prefer authorities, localities and proximities. They are very practical and did a great job on depth digging. As a result, they played a positive role in leading public opinions, caring civilians and society supervision. In terms of form, the newspaper also adept at using a variety of genres and approaches in reporting news, such as special editions, columns, headli nes, editorial, comment, review, news summary and so on. In particular, many good examples can be drawn from its flexible utilization of news photographs and new media application. For example, it pays a lot of attention to displaying the depth and features of news photographs. Besides, it knows how exactly to combine weibo, wechat, weishi, and 2-dimensional bar code, and other new media as such to achieve pan-media and dimensional dissemination.Based on the collected materials and data, this thesis also points out the aspects that the newspaper needs improvements. It is founded that the emergency mechanism of the newspaper lags behind, its planning is not completely carried out during implementation, and it lacks an independent assessment and supervision organization, all of which affected the further improving of its professionalism. To enhance the coverage level and to provide a reference for the news monograp hic report of other local paper media, this thesis puts forward three suggestions in accordance with its problems. First is to accelerate the construction of emergency response mechanism as well as its regulation mechanism; second is to improve the evaluation and feedback system; the last is to strengthen the construction of news planning and improve the ability of execution team. |
