The cultivation of students' innovative spirit and practice ability has become the key point under the new round of national elementary reform.Geography is a comprehensive subject that combines humanities with nature.And it is very practical.The training mode of geographical practice ability is mainly realized through the effective development of geographical practice activities,which can be carried in and out of class.This study is mainly to explore the strategies of cultivating high school students' practical ability at the frontier Poverty Stricken regions.This research is based on classroom teaching practice of the cultivation of geographical practice ability,taking humanism,the multiple intelligences and reflective teaching as the theory.This research mainly adopts literature research and questionnaire survey,interview,experimentation,action research to analyze high school students' practical ability in the border areas.First of all,the writer chooses Shidian high school students,as subjects and makes a survey of their geographic practice ability through questionnaire.The survey found that: Shidian high school students are very weak in practice ability,although the geography teachers generally think that the geographic practical ability is important,the school and teachers do not pay enough attentions to it,and they even have no clear training program and rare geographical practice.In order to solve this problem,this paper constructs three teaching strategies for the cultivation of high school students' practical ability: First,"training" strategy which is based on the characteristics of the geography practice ability,including six dimensions of geography practice ability: that is geographical mapping and drawing ability,geographical observation and geographical survey and investigation ability,geographical experiment ability,geographic information technology application ability,Simple geographical analysis and decision ability.Second,multiple intelligences theory,including create practical teaching environment for students,choosing diversified teaching methods and teaching mode.Using intelligent intelligence to replace the weaknesses,and teachers should develop students' enthusiasm and creativity in classroom.Third,using the humanistic education theory,including taking student-centered teaching as a strategy,to cultivate senior students' geography practice ability application strategy,and cultivating the senior students' geography practical ability reflection strategy.
