As a product of new age of the Internet,depending on importing QQ's huge user group and phone contacts and basing on social acquaintances relationships,Wechat has become the best mobile social application.By the end of third quarter of 2016,the number of users has reached 8.64 billion.According to Mr.Fei Xiaotong's theory,traditional Chinese interpersonal relationship is the “differential pattern” social structure which is based on genetic relationship,geographical relationship and occupation relationship.This essay refers to Mr.Fei's “differential pattern” theory,from within,from the aspect of self-construction in We Chat,the genetic relationship in We Chat red envelope in Spring Festival,and a job hunting We Chat Moment of undergraduates,as a case study to discuss the intimate relationships in We Chat.The essay's purpose is to explore what changes,functions and problems the intimate relationships in We Chat have comparing to the real life social network under the background of the new age,and finally to give some reasonable advice from the perspective of sociology.The theoretical significance is inheriting Mr.Fei's research method and the content creation of We Chat study.The practical significance is to draw inspiration to people's social contact.The mutual complementation of online and offline interpersonal relationships can help to maintain a healthy relationship.The essay refers to Manuel Castells' s Network society theoretical system and related domestic theories,Strong Relations theory,and symbolic interaction theory especially Goffman's Dramaturgical Theory,and the traditional Chinese interpersonal theories represented by Fei Xiaotong's theory,to study the intimate relationships in We Chat.Using participant observation,depth interview,case analysis to do the study.The innovation of this study is putting the “differential pattern” theory into virtual networking research,and the shortcoming is lack of broad representation.Specifically,this essay studies self-construction's features and methods,and setting an example to discuss the failure of self-construction and its measures of remediation.Taking an example of We Chat red envelope in Spring Festival comparing to the traditional envelope to discuss its positive and negative effects and to the genetic relationship and its improvement measures,and also make a prediction to the We Chat red envelope.Finally,taking an example of a undergraduates' job hunting We Chat Moment to analyze the occupation relationship in We Chat,and discussing its positive and negative effects,and giving some advice and countermeasures after that.Hope that this essay can contribute useful implication to intimate relationships in We Chat study.
