Objectives1.To describe the current status and distribution characteristics of breastfeeding self-efficacy in postpartum women from 0 to 6 months in Wuhan.2.To explore the influencing factors of breastfeeding self-efficacy.Methods1.This study was carried out in Wuhan Women and Children's Health Care Center in outpatient department of children health care department in Hubei Province from December 2016 to January2017.A total of 519 postpartum women were selected as the research objects.And a total of 519 questionnaires were issued and 508 were recovered.There were 494 valid questionnaires,and 494 subjects were effectively investigated.2.Individual Information Sheet was used to collect demographic data and breastfeeding related information,The survey of general demographic data,including age,nationality,religion,education level,occupation,maternity leave,marital status,paternal age,husband culture degree,family per capita month income,living environment,gestational weeks,parity,mode of delivery,infant age,infant sex,etc.The data of maternal breastfeeding include,prenatal breastfeeding preparation,breastfeeding behavior,physical,psychological,social status,etc.The Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale and Breastfeeding Self-Efficacy Scale Short Form were used to evaluate the level of depression and maternal breastfeeding self-efficacy;And the Social Support Rating Scale and Breastfeeding Knowledge questionnaire were used to evaluate the level of social support and breastfeeding knowledge.3.The independent sample t test,one-way ANOVA and Pearson correlation analysis were used to analyze the current status and distribution characteristics of breastfeeding self-efficacy in postpartum women from 0 to 6 months,and multivariable linear regression model were used to explore the influencing factors of breastfeeding self-efficacy.Results1.The exclusive breastfeeding rate of postpartum breast feeding was 58.50%;2.The postpartum breastfeeding self-efficacy scores was(47.82±12.34),of which the average score of skill dimension was(31.15±7.59);the average score of the individual internal thinking dimension was(16.67±5.03);3.Multiple linear regression analysis showed that these factors,including insufficient breast milk,whether the difficulties encountered during feeding,social support,infant age,colostrum appear time,determine the time of feeding,the people living together with postpartum,the feeding times a day,late pregnancy breast massage,appetite,use pacifier,whether or not to add milk powder within 2 weeks after discharged,arethe influencing factors of breastfeeding self-efficacy and explain 47.1% of the variance of the breastfeeding self-efficacy,and the insufficient breast milk has the largest contribution to the dependent variable(explain the total variance of the variable by 28.9%).Conclusions1.Although the rate of exclusive breastfeeding in 6 months was above 50%,there is still a big gap between the proposals put forward by WHO that 100% exclusive breastfeeding in 6 months.Therefore,it is necessary to further improve the status of breastfeeding;2.Compared with the domestic and foreign research,the breastfeeding self-efficacy of this study is at the medium level;3.Insufficient breast milk is the most important factor affecting maternal breastfeeding self-efficacy,followed by social support and feeding difficulties.
