Objective:To compare the curative efficacy of big-cycle needling technique with traditional therapy in treating peripheral facial paralysis sequelae, and confirm the correctness of the method. Methods:All 52 patients(male 23 cases, female 29 cases)were diagnosed with peripheral facial paralysis sequelae in the Department of Acupuncture and Neurology Clinic of The Second Affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University from November 2014 to December 2016.According to the different treatment methods,we randomly allocated to a treatment group(conventional acupuncture and big-cycle needling technique)and control group(conventional acupuncture and cupping method),26 cases in each group, the treatment group were 26 cases,1 cases of loss(female),a total of 25 cases(male 12 cases.13 cases of female);and control group were 26 cases, off 2 cases(male 1 cases, female 1 cases),a total of 24 cases(male 8 cases, female 16 cases).Acupoints of the control group included cuanzhu,Dicang,Taiyang,Touwei,Kouheliao,Jiache,Yangbai,Sibai,Yingxiang,Qianzheng, shuigou, chengjiang, hegu, zusanli, sanyinjiao, taichong and routine acupuncture.Face with 0.25×25mm needle shallow puncture 3-5mm,limbs with 0.25 × 40mm needle into subcutaneous 20-30mm,after the arrival of Qi,hegu, sanyinjiao, zusanli used twirling reinforcing manipulation, and taichong used reducing manipulation.Retaining the needle for 30 minutes, twist once every 10 minutes. With local flash cupping therapy,1 times a day.In the treatment group,on the basis of the conventional acupuncture treatment,we used big-cycle needling technique to draw yin from yang and draw yang from yin.The conventional acupuncture 1 times a day, each course of treatment for first,3,5 times with big-cycle needling technique. Two groups were treated with conventional acupuncture for a course of 5 times,3 courses in total.According to Sunny Brook(Toronto)facial nerve evaluation system, two groups were followed up before and after the treatment of static score, free movement points, the linkage scores and the final score changes. All subjects were in accordance with the criteria for admission, and were able to tolerate current examination and treatment, and signed informed consent. All the data were collected and set up a detailed database. This study uses MS Excel 365 data collection and mapping,IBM SPSS 22 was used for data analysis, measurement data using the mean and standard deviation(s)between the two groups said that the normal distribution of measurement data mean comparison using independent samples t test before and after treatment was compared with paired t test, count data expressed by the number of cases. The distribution of the number of cases using the chi square test,a =0.05 for statistical datum. The differences were statistically significant with P<0.05,and the changes of the parameters were evaluated.Results:1.After treatment, the static scores of the two groups were decreased compared with before treatment.the scores of the treatment group was lower than that of the control group, there was no significant difference(P>0.05).2.There was a significant difference between the two groups after treatment(P<0.05),and the linkage scores of the two groups were lower than before treatment. After treatment, the scores of the treatment group were lower than those of the control group, there was significant difference(P<0.001).3.Two groups of patients after treatment, the results of free movement points were statistically significant(P<0.05).The free movement points of the two groups were higher than that before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001).After treatment, the scores of the treatment group were higher than those of the control group, and there was statistical difference(P<0.05).4.There was a significant difference between the two groups after treatment(P<0.01).The final score of the two groups was higher than that before treatment, there was significant difference(P<0.001).After treatment, the score of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group, there was significant difference(P<0.01).5.The final score and the free movement points of the two groups in the treatment were increased after treatment, the score of the treatment group was significantly better than the control group, and the score was higher than the control group, the static scores and the linkage scores of the two groups were reducing after treatment:the treatment group decreased significantly, and the score was lower than the control group. After treatment, the static state of the treatment group was significantly lower than that of the control group, but there was no statistical difference.6.The total effective rate of the treatment group was 88%,the total effective rate of the control group was 62.50%,and the total effective rate of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.The effect by using conventional acupuncture with big-cycle needling technique in treating peripheral facial paralysis sequelae was obviously superior to conventional therapy,it significantly improved the ipsilateral facial static view and dynamic view, accelerated the recovery of facial nerve function.2.Big-cycle needling technique produced needling sensation by stimulating well points of the twelve meridians, make the Qi of twelve meridians successively through in the body, then the Qi of the whole body can run through to promote the recovery and smooth flow of the Qi and blood from the affected side.Qi and blood were sufficient to nourish muscles, thus improving the ipsilateral facial disorders.
