Effectiveness Of Integrative Therapy With Priority To Acupuncture On Plasma Endothelin In Sequelae Of Peripheral Facial Paralysis

Objective:Comparing different intervention methods(Comprehensive group/Control group) which improve peripheral facial paralysis sequela phase of facial nerve function and effect of plasma endothelin levels to observe the clinical efficacy of acupuncture comprehensive therapy for peripheral facial paralysis sequela and explore the combination with plasma endothelin.Methods:Clinical observations are randomized in this research.40 qualified peripheral facial paralysis sequelae patients were randomly divided equally into a comprehensive group and the control group for clinical observation. Comprehensive group were treated with acupuncture, cupping, Chinese Herbs, rehabilitation training while the control group were treated with acupuncture only. Then observing and recording the House-Brackmann (HB) facial nerve function evaluation system classification and the level of plasma endothelin of the two groups before and after treatment.Results:1,Both group have improved on the House-Brackmann (HB) facial nerve function evaluation system after treatment, both efficacy (P<0.05). Clinical comparison: Comprehensive Group:cured,8 cases, effective in 6 cases, effective in 4 cases, invalid 2 cases, the total efficiency of 90%; control group:two cases of cured, effective in 4 cases, effective in 6 cases,invalid 8 cases, the total efficiency of 60%, consolidated group effective than the control group (P<0.05).2, levels of the plasma endothelin of two groups have improved after treatment (P<0.05); comparison by difference of plasma endothelin levels between before and after treatment, the comprehensive group is better than the control group, significant difference (P<0.05).Conclusion:1, Comprehensive therapy base on acupuncture is definite effective for cure of peripheral facial paralysis and significantly improve the cure rate.2, As a result of Peripheral facial paralysis is closely linked with the plasma endothelin and the difference is significantly, plasma endothelin levels can provide an objective reference in the clinical treatment...
