Objective:To research the effects of therapy by through acupuncture to peripheral facial paralysis,and the standard of the clinical application of through acupuncture.Methods:47 cases of peripheral facial paralysis in patients with the acute phase was divided into a treatment group and a control group to conduct clinical observation. 24 cases of the treatment group,will be treatmented by yangbai point through yuyao point,jiache point through dicang point,and so on. 23 cases of the control group,will be treatmented by general acupuncture at yangbai point,jiache point,dicang point,chengjiang point,and so on. Using Sunnybrook (Toronto) facial grading system (TFGS) evaluate the grade of facial nerve injury and the efficacy of the patients.Results: 24 cases of the treatment group,18 cases were clinically cured,with a markedly effective rate of 95.83%,and 12 cases were clinically cured in first 2 periods of treatment. 23 cases of the treatment group,13 cases were clinically cured,with a markedly effective rate of 86.96%,and 5 cases were clinically cured in first 2 periods of treatment.Conclusions: Treatmenting peripheral facial paralysis by through acupuncture can increase the markedly effective rate and shorten the period of treatment evidently.
