Buxuequyu Decoction In Treating Geriatric Perioperative Hidden Blood Loss Of Intertrochanteric Fracture

Objective:To investigate the Buxuequyu decoration in treating the perioperative hidden blood loss ofthe intertrochanteric fracture in the elderlyMethods:The 40 patients with intertrochanteric fracture were randomly divided into control and treatment group.There were 20 patients in the control group while there were 20 patients in the treatment one.Patients in the control group were treated with the conventional medication for perioperative anti-in-fection and rehydration.Patients in the treatment group were additionallygiven the Buxuequyu decoration.The serumconcentrations of hemoglobin(Hb),cases of anemia and the changes of the hidden blood loss were observed.Using the Harris hip scoring system for postoperative 1 weeks,2 weeks and one month?Results:(1)compared with the control group,the hemoglobin of the traditional Chinese medicine group was third days and fifth days after operation,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(2)compared with the control group,the hematocrit(Hct)was higher in third days and fifth days after operation,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(3)compared with the control group,in the Harris hip score system,there was no statistical significance in the recovery of hip function(P>0.05)(4)Compared with the control group,the amount of hidden blood loss decreased third days after operation and fifth days after operation,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05)..Conclusion:(1)Much of hidden blood loss happened after PFNA treatment of intertrochanteric fractures in elderly patients(2)Buxuequyu decoction can effectively increase hemoglobin and reduce hidden blood loss.
