Effect Of Bazhen Decoction On Hidden Blood Loss After PFNA In Elderly Patients With Intertrochanteric Fracture Of Femur

Objective: To investigate the effect of Bazhen decoction on hidden blood loss after PFNA in the treatment of intertrochanteric fracture of femur in the elderly,and to provide a new reference for clinical treatment of this disease.Methods: Selected From March 2017 to March 2018,60 elderly patients with intertrochanteric fracture of femur admitted to the Department of Orthopaedics,Ruikang Hospital Affiliated to Guangxi University of Chinese Medicine,were enrolled in the study cohort.The patients were divided into observation group(n=30)and control group(n=30).After internal fixation of intertrochanteric fractures was performed by the same group of doctors,the observation group began to take Bazhen decoction for a week from the first day after operation under routine treatment.The control group was given routine treatment such as infection prevention,fluid replacement,prevention of venous thrombosis and so on,and did not take Bazhen decoction.The age,sex,height and weight of the patients were recorded at the same time in both groups.the HB and HCT of the patients were recorded before and 1,3 and 7 days after operation.The data were analyzed by SPSS 19.0 statistical software.Results:1.Comparison of general data: there was no statistical significance in the comparison of age,sex,height,weight,injury site and so on between the two groups(P>0.05).2.Comparison of HB and HCT between the two groups:(1)the comparison of HB and HCT: at different time points on the 1st,3rd and 7th day after operation was statistically significant compared with that before operation(P<0.05).There was no significant difference between the first day after operation and the third day after operation,P>0.05,there was no statistical significance between the first day after operation and the third day after operation.On the 1st and 7th day after operation,on the 3rd day after operation and on the 7th day after operation,P<0.05 was statistically significant.(2)There was no significant difference in HB,HCT: between the two groups at the same time point between the two groups before operation and the first day after operation,P>0.05,there was no statistical significance.There was significant difference between the two groups on the 3rd day after operation and between the two groups on the 7th day after operation,P<0.05,which was statistically significant.3.Comparison of recessive blood loss between the two groups:(1)intra-group comparison at the same time point: on the first day after operation and the third day after operation,P>0.05,there was no statistical significance.On the 1st and 7th day after operation,on the 3rd day after operation and on the 7th day after operation,P<0.05 was statistically significant.(2)Comparison between groups at different time points: there was no statistical significance between the two groups before operation and the first day after operation,P>0.05,there was no statistical significance between the two groups before operation and the first day after operation.There was significant difference between the two groups on the 3rd day after operation and between the two groups on the 7th day after operation,P<0.05,which was statistically significant.Conclusion: Bazhen decoction can increase the levels of HB and HCT after PFNA in elderly patients with intertrochanteric fracture of femur and reduce the amount of hidden blood loss.
