The Research Of Social Work In Dealing With Patient-Doctor Relations

In recent years, medical treatment disputes have been widely focused in society. As rapid development of medical health, the various defects of medical health business in system and methods have been exposed gradually, leading to more conflict and disputes between doctors and patients. Consequently, to resolve the conflict between doctors and patients, as well as relieve the relationship between doctors and patients, a new working method of social work has been applied in the field of medical health.It needs more humanistic concern for medical staff to relieve the disputes, as paying attention to patients` feelings and demands. The medical staff should qualify the characteristic of concerning both physical and mental health of patients in terms of society, economy, culture and psychology. Howbeit, there is also great pressure for medical staff because most of them only have professional medical knowledge and technique instead of other humanistic aspects. Thus, we need social workers with professional medical knowledge to participate in the medical health business and help medical staff resolve patients` problems in society, economy, culture and psychology, bringing better recovery.Based on the theory of medical society-related work, this study takes Lanzhou University Second Hospital for example, to research how the social work intervenes in relationship between doctors and patients, analyzing how the social work method functions in medical health and improves relationship between doctors and patients. The results show that, the knowing of medical social workers should be improved in present society, the key problem of medical social work intervening into medical treatment disputes are that neither main institution of national medicine nor related guarantee of policy and law supports sufficiently. Meanwhile, we have not built medical social servicing system. The medical social system is incomplete and related organization is still not well-organized. The structure of present medical social system is excessively simple and the quality of related practitioners is totally poor. In addition, the medical social system has no sufficient human resources wet, and so on. Therefore, we need more support to medical social work by related national institution and complete related policy and law to improve the acceptance of republic, discuss worker training of medical system and related management of team constructing and formation programming, for development of medical social service.
