The Building Of The Harmony Doctor-Patient Relationship From The Angle Of The Social Work

The doctor-patient relationship is a common but special interpersonal relationship. With the proceeding of the medical practice, it has been the most basic human social relationship. Under the mission of enhancing the interpersonal communication and building the harmonious society, the medical practice, which concerns the human's health, is not only closely related to people's health, but also shoulder the task of linking the doctor an patient and improving the interpersonal relationship. However, the current doctor-patient relationship is growing strained day by day, which critically threatens the healthy development of the public health and affects the process of building the harmonious society. Therefor, the new reform of medical system of the Party Central Committee points out to strengthen the medical ethics, stress the building of the medical staff's human quality and professional quality to motivate them to improve the service and promote efficiency, perfect medical practice insurance, carry out social medical work, improve the system of handling medical dissension and enhance the doctor-patient communication. In the new period, besides the midical care, whether the hospital could communicate well the doctor and patient to reduce the probability of medical dissension and be people-oriented, has an immediate bearing on the building a harmonious doctor-patient relationship. In this paper, proceeding from and applying the basic principles and methods of social work, it gives us a discussion about the relevant issues of current doctor-patient relationship by which to grasp the its status quo, aiming to provide advice for the building of a harmonious doctor-patient relationship.The paper has five parts as follows:In the first part, it gives a general idea of why to choose this subject, the researching purpose and meaning, and then proposes the hypothesis and train of thought, and explains the researching methods and relevant concepts.In the second part, based on the research on the doctor-patient relationship, it first summaries its nature and characteristics, and then generally discusses the new model of doctor-patient relationship to be built. In the third part, it mainly expounds the status quo and existing problems of the doctor-patient relationship in terms of society and government, hospital,doctor and patient, and then to grasp the building of a harmonious doctor-patient relationship.In the forth part, on the basis of grasping of above problems and reasons, the author introduces professinal theories and methods of social work to the doctor-patient relationship, especially the medical dissensions.Through the mediation of the disputes between the doctor and patient, both parties generally accept the result of settlement, but there still is a certain gap between it and the assumption of the ideal result. Therefor the systemization of the theories of the social work getting involved in the doctor-patient relationship is in a buring state of perfection. Finally, in the view of social work, the author proposes how to build a harmonious doctor-patient relationship.
