Objective: To observe the clinical curative effect of Quanjing Acupuncture therapy combined with blood-letting puncture and cupping therapy of upper limb-spasticity after cerebral stroke in the recovery phase, to provide clinical evidence for the scientificity of the etiology and pathogenesis that evil gas and extravasated blood which mainly conclude wind, cold and wet can lead to limb-spasticity after stroke. Methods: Randomly allocate the 60 patients who conform to both the diagnosis and acceptance standards of upper limb-spasticity after cerebral stroke in the recovery phase to treatment group and control group according to visiting and accepting sequences, 30 patients in each group. The treatment group were treated by Quanjing Acupuncture therapy combined with blood-letting puncture and cupping therapy, while the control group were only treated by Quanjing Acupuncture therapy. Both groups were given the same basic therapy and rehabilitation exercises. Record the changing datas of MAS score, passive traction and FMA score of upper limb before therapy, after the first and second course of treatment. The datas were studied through statistics treatment.Results:1. After the first course of treatment, MAS score, passive traction and FMA score of upper limb of the two groups were observably improved than them before treatment, and both of the differences were statistically significant different(P<0.01).There were no differences of MAS score and FMA score of upper limb between the two groups, but there was statistical difference of passive traction of upper limb between the two groups(P<0.05).2. After the second course of treatment, MAS score, passive traction and FMA score of upper limb of the two groups were observably improved than them before treatment and in the first course, and both of the differences were statistically significant different(P<0.01).There were statistical differences of MAS score, passive traction and FMA score of upper limb between the two groups(MAS score P<0.05,passive traction P<0.01,FMA P<0.05).Conclusion:1. Both Quanjing Acupuncture therapy combined with blood letting puncture and cupping therapy and Quanjing Acupuncture therapy can improve the condition of MAS score, passive traction and FMA score of upper limb-spasticity after cerebral stroke in the recovery phase, but the improvement degree of Quanjing Acupuncture therapy combined with blood-letting puncture and cupping therapy was better than that of Quanjing Acupuncture therapy.2.Both Quanjing Acupuncture therapy combined with blood letting puncture and cupping therapy and Quanjing Acupuncture therapy were effective to the upper limb-spasticity after cerebral stroke in the recovery phase, but the total effective rate of the former was higher than the latter,so it provided clinical evidence to the hypothesis that evil gas and extravasated blood is the key etiology and pathogenesis which lead to limb-spasticity after stroke is scientific in a certain degree.
