Application And Benefit Of EPC Model In A Highway Construction

EPC(Engineering,Procurement,Construction)project management mode,many engineering experiences have shown that can promote the tightness combination of design and construction,able to fully explore the potential of design and construction,solve the problem of the design and construction of disconnect,better guarantee the construction quality,shorten the project time,optimize the allocation of resources,save cost effectively.This paper found that in the past many deficiencies in the traditional model of management process,main show is the disconnect between design and construction,and long construction period,low productivity,design change during the process of construction,the project cost is difficult to control,the investment cycle is long such as those problems.In order to improve those management problems,this paper analyze the traditional mode and EPC theory comparison,Take the Xijiang bridge on the highway engineering practice case,represented by analytic hierarchy process,and draw on the government,state-owned enterprises for the construction unit owners,difficult project and the cost of the project amount is large and the project construction period is limited,suitable for priority selection of EPC project management pattern.By compared with the traditional project management mode,the project of three architectural goals were improved to a certain extent,the quality of design change the number fell by 164,a decline of 79.5%,the progress in the construction period shortened by 21%,and costs on the basis of cost control,choose the scheme design,to maximize the value of rather than the pursuit of low cost.About highway project,EPC management mode with the advantages of quite,but also should have certain conditions,such as the government investment projects,the government or state-owned highway construction management company management,belong to the state highway or difficult point project,the amount is more than $10,the tight,this kind of project for EPC management mode is adopted to improve the management.This article analyzes the actuality of EPC management mode in our country,for the future of our country highway construction using EPC project management model provides reference experience,in order to further improve and promote the domestic highway construction project EPC management mode has certain reference value.In the highway project managed by the government or state-owned enterprises,EPC management mode is preferred,and CM management mode is selected,and the traditional mode of the past is gradually eliminated.
