As the world economy and trade become more and more active,container transportation,as an efficient,reliable and standard mode of transportation,is gaining more popularity in the international shipping.With the development of container transportation,the demand for crane as its main loading and unloading tool has also soared a lot.Since the 1980 s,the world’s major heavy equipment manufacturers have begun to set foot in the crane manufacturing market.With the development of the crane manufacturing technology become more mature,the market is become more competitive.Z company has greatly improved the delivery speed of the crane by adopting the loading and unloading technology of the crane.Due to the lack of effective schedule management methods,there are always delays in the operation of Z company’s crane unloading project,In order to improve the present management status of ship unloading project,Z company urgently needs to find an efficient and practical schedule management method.Based on the analysis of CCPM(Critical Chain Project Management)theory,we have a profound grasp of the basic ideas and assumptions of this theory,By comparing with other traditional scheduling management theories,we get the theoretical advantages of CCPM,and also master various application methods of CCPM.On the basis of analyzing the problems existing in the schedule management of crane unloading project of Z company,the necessity of applying CCPM to unloading project is demonstrated.This paper presents the project schedule management model of Z company based on the CCPM needs of the unloading project,such as: the plan period is too long,the work sequence is chaos,project resource conflict,project monitoring adverse problems to solve the unloading project,the main contents include:1)The WBS is used to clarify the logical relation of the project process,and establish the initial network structure of the project;2)The new schedule estimation method is used to compress the schedule,to eliminate the redundant safety time in the plan and to compress the project schedule;3)Using parallel classification method and parallel algorithm,the relationship between project resource constraint and process logic constraint is taken into consideration;4)Based on the CCPM theory,select the appropriate calculation method and the correction coefficient,setting and calculation the buffer in schedule plan of crane unloading project,real-time monitoring and the use of squared buffer matrix method on monitoring crane unloading project schedule implementation,dynamic response.The application of this method in Z company`s Liverpool PEEL PORT crane unloading project,through the project evaluation of practical results,the feasibility and superiority of the CCPM verification in the crane unloading project schedule management,and the method to improve the management status of the Z company in the crane unloading project actively effect.The research of this paper will expand the application scope of key CCPM,help Z company solve project schedule management problem,and provide some reference for similar project schedule management research in the future..
