Supervision engineers are the organizers and managers fulfilling entrusted supervision contract and in charge of project supervision,their external behavior,work performance and work quality all represent the supervision enterprises.Meanwhile,as internal executor and duty officers of project supervision,supervision engineers implement comprehensive management control of engineering construction to guarantee realization of engineering construction target.The existence of supervision engineers strongly maintains project quality,avoids various subjects' behaviors of impacting market order drive by benefits such as adulteration and jerry-building,and protects the long-term healthy development of construction career.On this basis,through the empirical research on supervision engineers' work satisfaction,this research attempts to understand the work status of supervision engineers,and satisfaction of different aspects in practical work;by in-depth analysis of the fundamental causes of supervision engineers' lower satisfaction,this paper proposes targeted improvement suggestions.Meanwhile,supervision engineers' satisfaction reflects his cognition of supervision industry or certain phenomenon;the factors of supervision engineers' dissatisfaction,to some extent,is the embodiment of problems in this industry.Firstly,referring and assimilating domestic as well as overseas researches,comprehensively utilizing need theory,motivation theory,Lewin's field theory and situational reality theory,and combining with characteristics of supervision work,the evaluation index system of supervision engineers' work satisfaction is established,which is divided into six dimensions;including work itself,compensation and welfare,organizational management,leaders and colleagues,owner and construction unit,and self actualization.The empirical research on supervision engineers in Chongqing is carried out;the questionnaire data is processed by independent sample T test,one-way analysis of variance and correlation analysis so as to explore supervision engineers' overall work satisfaction,satisfaction level in each dimension,and influence difference of different individual basic characteristic factors on supervision engineers' work satisfaction.After preliminary analysis and conclusion of 10 factors in lowest work satisfaction and causes of group difference,combining with supervision work characteristic and industrial status,the fundamental causes are dissected,which are concluded into influences in 8 aspects;such as imperfect engineering supervision laws,regulations and standards;unclear positioning and cognition of construction supervision by all walks of life;influence of reinforcing supervision system;unsound engineering supervision system;imperfect project supervision aptitude system;the core competence of supervising unit remains to be improved;influence of knowledge structure as well as ability of supervision engineers;management of construction organization.At last,in terms of macro control by Chin and Chongqing government sectors,optimal management of supervision enterprises,positive support from construction unit and construction supervision association,cultivation of supervision engineers' attainment,this paper puts forward the countermeasure for promoting supervision engineers' work satisfaction.
