An Applied Study On The Construction Technology And Process Optimization Of Traditional Village Dwellings In Southwestern China

As a kind of residential building, dwellings distribute over the villages and small towns in China. Due to the climate, geography, humanities environment of southwest China, dwellings have its unique form architectural form is the surface layer of cultural inheritance, but the construction technology is under the skin. In order to stay the traditional residential culture alive at this time background, the construction technology should be optimized at a deep-level. For this motive power, dwellings can finish its historic mission in the balance of the new and old.For the help of the Science and technology support program in 12 th Five-Year, this article coordinate the the architectural features of dwellings and analysis the limitations of traditional construction technologies by making field survey of dwellings in Southwest China. Traditional construction technologies limited by construction level, cost allocation and using of material use.This study is accompanied by three processes, the first step is basic research, carring out the field investigation data based on the existing research, then summed up the complete construction technology system. Second, proposing three principles when makes optimizations: internal and external harmony, adaptation to nature, reconcile in local architectural language. Last, dividing the traditional technologies into wooden frame, wall, roof, floor, building process and so on, from a construction sequence standpoint. Then referencing to modern architectural optimization, put different optimization measures, at the same time, according to the actual situation, combinating different optimization strategies, the analyzing the comfort of the building before and after optimization by using simulation software.Hope that through this research of traditional construction technology, find a way to make traditional construction technology continue in modern times, and integrate construction, use, protection, inheritance, to protect historical cultural heritage, improve the quality of life of the people, improve the national soft power.
